Our Mission
No young man should walk alone.
Forge Academy is a Christian mentorship initiative for young men ages 17–24 in LA County. We share everyday life, teach practical skills, explore new possibilities, and make room for conversations about faith and purpose.
Our current work is founder-led mentoring as we build the foundation for a broader program.
Why I Started Forge
I’m a husband, a father of three, and a firefighter/paramedic. Since 2018, I’ve mentored young people through Young Life, Cru, churches, and other youth organizations. I’ve seen how much a young person’s life can change when someone consistently walks alongside them.
I’ve also seen young men lose support after graduation, just when they’re asking some of life’s biggest questions: Who am I? Where am I going? What kind of man am I becoming? I started Forge because I wanted to help bridge that gap.
My hope is that every young man has someone who shows up—someone who recognizes his God-given potential, teaches him practical skills, opens doors to new experiences, and helps him know and experience the love of God the Father.
I believe we all need a mentor, and we all have something to offer someone else. We don’t need every answer. We can begin with one young person, share everyday life, and keep showing up—with the hope of a connection that lasts a lifetime.
Our Vision
Just one. Start by showing up.
Our work begins with young men in LA County. Our vision reaches further: people everywhere choosing one young person and walking with them through life. The hope is a connection that lasts a lifetime.
We believe proximity builds trust, new experiences reveal possibilities, and knowing and experiencing the love of God the Father can change a life.
Our Values
Consistent presence — listen, make time, and keep showing up.
Shared experiences — open doors to new places, skills, and opportunities.
Faith — help young men discover their God-given identity and experience the Father’s love.
Mentorship that multiplies — pass on what you receive to someone else.
